Growing up, Manisha observed that flora and fauna held a special place in the religious lives of people around her. She believes that they are an integral part of human life. One can find solace in her works, that shows the splendour and beauty of nature, which is rapidly destroyed because of unplanned urbanization and excessive industrialization. Manisha’s paintings depict a future that is affected by toxic pollution, extinction of various living beings and drastic climatic changes. Using a series of allegorical elements and visual narratives, Manisha’s works become an instrument of ecological awareness. Her extensive research leads the onlookers to intricately rendered details of the negative human impact on the flora and fauna.
Manisha Agarwal graduated from Government College of Fine Arts, Indore and now works and lives in Vadodra.
