Cityscapes have been the core of the body of work by V. Ramakrishna for many years now. The tightly embedded structures of the city abodes are simplified into basic shapes. On such evenly spread terrain of geometrically fragmented sections, there are frequent lyrical breaks by infusing circular forms of vegetation and horizontal bands for balconies. The people standing on them add rhythm and movement to the evenly quiet space.

Born in June 1976 in Hyderabad, V. Ramakrishna did his BFA & MFA from Hyderabad. He has had several solo shows in Hyderabad and Delhi and Singapore.He has also been part of many group shows organised by prestigious galleries all over India.
